In questa nuova opera della serie Bubble Girl, il ritratto iperrealista di una giovane ragazza che soffia una bolla di chewing gum si fonde con la tradizione, grazie all’elemento circolare ricamato ispirato ai cestini tradizionali della mia terra. Il volto, disegnato in scala di grigi, contrasta con la vivacità dei colori del ricamo e con la delicatezza della maglietta verde. Un’opera che gioca con i contrasti: tra infanzia e identità, tra culture e tecniche, tra il disegno e il tessile.

In this new piece from the Bubble Girl series, the hyper-realistic portrait of a young girl blowing a bubblegum bubble merges with tradition through a circular embroidered element inspired by the traditional baskets of my homeland. The grayscale face contrasts with the vivid colors of the embroidery and the softness of the green shirt. A work that plays with contrasts: childhood and identity, cultures and techniques, drawing and textiles.
